Author's Notes

Welcome to Noetheca

Noetheca houses all thoughts I have on everything I have read and watched. This is publicly shared for the purposes of reflection, critical examination, and preserving the ideas that linger long after the final page or closing scene. Through analysis and interpretation, I explore the ways stories shape thought, culture, identity, and the human experience itself.

The works discussed here range from fiction to non-fiction, from literature and philosophy to film, animation, history, and other forms of media that attempt, in one way or another, to understand the world and the people within it. Some entries are analytical, some personal, and some are merely attempts to follow an idea to its natural conclusion before it disappears into the abyss of memory.

If that is something you like to engage with, then perhaps you will find something here worth thinking about. Whether in agreement or disagreement, the goal is not simply to consume stories and ideas, but to examine why they endure, what they reveal, and what they leave behind in us long after we encounter them.

To get you started, I would direct you to my Books section at the left sidebar. You may find there to only be few entries, but it'll grow soon.

What does Noetheca mean?

Noetheca comes from nous (mind, understanding) and -theca (a container or archive). Together, it means a place for thought. An archive of reflections, interpretations, and the connections between ideas.

(I came up with it. I like making up new words.)

The Voice of the Digital Gardener

This space is shaped by observation, reflection, and the slow growth of ideas. Some entries are precise, some are unfinished, and some are simply traces of thought before they fully settle.

Over time, this space will also carry my own voice more directly. I want it to be a place where I can speak as myself, introduce who I am, and let this garden reflect not only what I think, but how I think. In that sense, Noetheca is both an archive and a personal presence in progress.

Some of you may know me from the platforms that led you here. But for those who stumbled here without knowing those other platforms, hello! You may call me sachi or sei, yes, both in lowercase. I think most people prefer to call me sachi, but I also like being called sei. Please call me by that name too! Aaaah!

A little bit of explanation as to why I let people call me either sachi or sei is that I essentially have two sides to me. One side is a bubbly, energetic clutter-chaos (sachi), while the other is a calm, systematic, erudite wannabe (sei). So depending on the kind of day or mood I’m in, I can either be a sachi or a sei. It’s like light mode and dark mode that I toggle between often.

And no, I don’t have DID. I’m also not diagnosed with ADHD or autism, though people have claimed I seem like I might be somewhere on both spectrums. I just like creating this unique experience with people who prefer to identify me as either sachi or sei. It’s mostly for fun.

(Well, that didn’t end up being a “little” explanation.)
